The interesting thing about this station is that although it is a subway under West Peachtree Street it is above I-75/I-85 which goes under West Peachtree St. at this point -- sort of an elevated subway station.

The "Civic Center" station is another example of a misnamed station, since the Civic Center is at least 4 blocks from the station. (However renaming the Brookhaven Station as Brookhaven-Oglethorpe University Station wins the prize for absurdity since Oglethorpe Univ. is at least a mile or 2 away from the station!!)
