Browsing the virtual shelves by subject

Subjects in the 8th floor/nautilus_library (8f/nl) can be browsed on LibraryThing.com by the subject classification system the 8f/nl uses. Just as, in a "real" library one can browse the subjects by class numbers on the shelves, one can browse the 8th floor/Nautilus Library's virtual shelves. Every item in the library/archives has a subject category no. (plus sometimes other stuff you can ignore). The subject categories are from the following sources:

• primarily from the Dewey classification system, with a slight 8f/nl modification here and there, for everything except the 200s, 400s and 800s. (and this is an in-progess database of the whole classification including 8f/nl's tinkerings with the Dewey system ) except for the following sections, which are 8f/nlc's own total reclassifications:
• 200s Spirituality, beliefs, and religion(s) is 8f/nl's own concoction, totally different from Dewey.
• 400s Languages(s) is 8f/nl's own concoction, totally different from Dewey.
• 800s Language arts: orature and literature
